About  Inland Film Company Oy - Helsinki

Inland Film Company Oy is a Helsinki based film production company. The company was founded originally as part of the Talvi Group, at which time it was active mainly in developing and producing prime time tv-movies with and for German companies. such as Studio Hamburg Productions @ NDR/ARD (“Tatort - Tango für Borowski”)  and Zeitsprung Entertainment @  Degeto/ ARD (“Der Rekordbeobachter”). At that point, Inland’s current owner, producer Klaus Heydemann was a 1/3 -partner. In 2012 Heydemann bought the company and changed its name to Inland Film Company Oy.  

 

Klaus Heydemann’s background as production manager and producer  begins in 1985 and he has 90+ films in his filmography, including a decade as production manager in the production company of the Kaurismäki brothers, where he worked in various positions on many films,  including - Helsinki-Napoli – all night long, Leningrad Cowboys go America, Matchfactory Girl,  I hired a contract killer, Zombie and the Ghost Train, Night on Earth, La vie de boheme and Drifting Clouds. 

 

INLAND FILM is identified and recognized as a Finnish independent film production company. It has currently in production a documentary film  “FINNS” (working title) for Finnish National Broadcasting Company Yle, supported by the Finnish Film Foundation.  And it has just completed the production of a feature film “Changes”. In development, all funded by the Finnish Film Foundation, the company has one documentary and several feature films.

 

Inland Film is the Eurimages Co-Producer of “Chronicles of Melanie” with Mistrus Media, Riga, Latvia.

 

Shot in summer of 2017 is also the 1,7M€ production of feature drama  “Laugh or die”. A film by Heikki Kujanpää. A film project of great importance for the 2017 jubilee of 100 years independence of Finland,, and an important Finnish-German collaboration in this connection.

JUSSI OROZA

Jaime Juhani (Jussi) Oroza was born 1966 in La Paz, Bolivia. In Finland, he started to study cultural anthropology of developing countries and cinema-scriptwriting but finally graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in documentary film production 1996. After his MA-studies he lived in Bolivia as a farmer, father, development activist and current affairs film producer for next 5 years. After moving back to Finland in 2001 he has been working as a cameraman, director or editor with over 200 educational and industrial films, within some TV-documentaries. From 2008 he has been producing the StoryTent cross-media project of which he was also awarded at the Nordisk Panorama Documentary Film Festival in Reykjavik. Within StoryTent project, he produced 67 episodes short documentary prime-time TV-series, and the first 49min StoryTent documentary film “Voices of El Alto” has been commissioned and shown internationally in over 60 countries. The Stories from Finland is his first feature length documentary direction for TV and theatre distribution.
